Planetary Transit Calendar (Graha Gochar)
Pick any planet and see the full list of dates it changes sign, across the year. This is the actual movement of the sky, the same for everyone, so no birth details are needed.
All dates use the Vedic sidereal (Lahiri) zodiac.

What is a planetary transit (gochar) calendar?
It shows where each planet is in the zodiac and the dates it moves from one sign to the next, along with retrograde periods. It is the actual movement of the sky, so it is the same for everyone and needs no birth details.
Why are these dates different from a Western app?
This calendar uses the Vedic sidereal zodiac (Lahiri ayanamsa), fixed to the actual stars, while Western apps use the tropical zodiac. The two are offset by about 24 degrees, so a planet enters a sign on a different date in each system.
Why is the Moon monthly and the rest yearly?
The Moon is the fastest planet, changing sign about every 2.25 days, so a year would be over 150 rows. The slower planets change sign only a few times a year or less, so a yearly view suits them. That is why the Moon has month navigation and the rest have year navigation.
Which transits matter the most?
The slow-moving planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu, set the bigger trends because they stay in a sign for a long time. Saturn takes about two and a half years per sign and Jupiter about a year, so their sign changes are the big calendar events. Retrograde (vakri) periods are also shown separately in this calendar.
